The tourists leave so many great things behind! All the time I'm finding useful objects like money and food (still in the plastic, unopened). I've also found a map of Amsterdam, a working pair of headphones and today: a good bag! It wasn't as if they had accidentally left it: they had literally pushed it into the garbage. I'm keeping it.

Today I said goodbye to a good friend who returned, after one year, to his home country. It was great to have met this person.

Today a large group of teenage girls came to rent the waterbikes. They had to wait for more people so in the meantime they played games.

Yesterday's Taizé-prayer was great, once again. This time the people from the group that traveled to Taizé were there.

I've been struggling to find a good way to record my piano to the laptop. I tried midi-cables and recording l&r channels separately through the Microsampler. No succes. But with this little thing called an audio-interface the quality of the sound stays perfect and it streams directly into the laptop. It's pretty cool :)

Vandaag ging ik naar een lunchconcert in het concertgebouw. Het was mooie muziek: Frans met Spaanse invloeden, voor viool en gitaar.
Daarna ging ik naar mijn opgave voor het vrijwilligerswerk: een Portugese vrouw met de computer helpen. Het was een erg aardige en enthousiaste vrouw die me een ijsje als dank gaf.

De zwarte hond is een beetje moe en laat zijn hoofd rusten.
